Help needed:Jim Mc Coy, one of the friends of FWCFFA, is planning to take a trip to China as a member of the International Student Delegation on Business, and he needs to raise enough funds to finance the trip. We are posting his request here, in the hope that your generous donation would help Jim materalize this important trip. Hello Professor Liu

I am glad that we were able to make it to the Chinese New Year dinner at IPFW, This was only the second time I was there. The last time was three years. I hope that we can make it a regular event each year.

I am a college student, majoring in International Business. Since the dinner, I received an exciting invitation from the Gold Key Honor Society to attend the International Student Delegation on Business that is held in China in December 2012. The program will consist of 10 days visiting various universities and business centers in China. If I can attend, it will be a great benefit to me when I graduate next year and attempt to begin my new career in Economic Development.

The cost of participating in the program, after airfare, will be nearly $5,000. As I am paying for 100% of my tuition using financial aid, this
is not something that I can afford to do. I did apply for a scholarship through the honor society, but it was also suggested that I try to raise money from thr community. I am hoping to make contact with various organizations that would have an interest in helping me.

My interest in visiting China comes from my interest in martial arts. I teach Taichi in addition to Japanese Aikido. I plan on taking classes in
Chinese, perhaps at IPFW and hope to work with Chinese companies seeking to do business in the U.S.

I would like to as for your help in seeking donations from the local Chinese community to finance my trip. I will be happy to meet with the
group or individuals both before and after the trip. Perhaps upon my return, I can make a presentation about the trip.

I will need to decide by February 15th if I will be going. I hope that you can help me.
